1. Session note from the week
It’s important to become aware and begin to understand how and why we are getting in our own way- not in a judgmental way but from a place of observation and empowerment. For example, are we using certain substances or behavior to avoid experiences, as a form of distraction?

Maybe food, television, alcohol, work, social media, etc.

It’s okay if we are- but the moment we begin to see what, how and why we are truly up to what we are up to- we begin to take our power back and break the pattern. So as awareness comes, let it in, let it process and let it change the way you enter into and see the world.

3. Healthy tip to consider
Do you have a morning routine? Many of the most successful people on earth talk about the importance of it. If you don’t, make one! To start, keep it simple.

In my work with successful people, I’ve noticed common themes, early to rise, a big glass of water, supplements, making the bed, setting an intention or saying a quick prayer, possibly exercise. All of these simple acts are a great way to achieve first thing in the morning- setting the tone for the day vs. reacting to it. The key is that it must work for you. So consider what could!

If this feels like a stretch, which I completely understand, choose just one and stick with it.

4. Detox tool
Dry brushing is a great way to promote circulation, lymphatic drainage and detoxification within the system.

Before you hop into the shower, you may want to give dry brushing a whirl. I see a quick dry brush as simple, daily ritual that can promote health and a connection with your body. The beautiful Romee Strijd talks more about the benefits of dry brushing in her youtube video on her morning routine at the 2:05 mark right here.

5. Pumpkin pie protein smoothie recipe
Going with our Fall pumpkin theme, I wanted to bring you one of my favorite smoothie recipes! I try to keep everything as simple to make as possible so all you need is: 1/2 cup of pumpkin, 1/2 frozen banana, 8 oz. of almond milk, a scoop of vanilla or pumpkin spice protein powder + pumpkin pie spice or ice cubes as needed for more of a kick (I typically don’t add either)- voila, blend!
